Students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to participate in several lunch time and after-school clubs and activities. All of these are generated by student interest, and have at least one advisor.
Junior State of America (JSA)
JSA is a great place for students to explore the art of “organized arguing.” Students discuss current issues and will practice using a strong voice and good presentation skills in a fun, safe environment.
Science Club
The Science Club is for students who are interested in working on science-related projects in areas such as biology, physics, chemistry, earth science and engineering.
Garden Street Jazz Band
The Garden Street Jazz Band is designed to bring students together who have a common interest in the world of music. Music Club seeks to expose its members to jazz standards, expanding their appreciation for music and hopefully giving them the chance to discover what music means to them.
Student Government Club
The club’s purpose is to serve the student body of Garden Street Academy. It achieves this by listening to and working with the students to plan events such as ELF (Entertainment Lounge Friday) and our school dances.
Sports Club
Instead of focusing on one sport, this club offers a variety of sports/activities. The club focuses on the importance of fitness, hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Robotics Team
Participants will actively become involved in the world of technology. We gain experience using technology and various projects that creatively incorporate your technology skills.
